Category Reports: quality of services offered by air transport operators

What should I do if my baggage is not returned or lost?

If a passenger's checked baggage is not returned at the airport of arrival, it constitutes a non-delivery. In such a situation, before leaving the baggage reclaim area, the passenger must take the following steps to initiate a report:

- Visit the Lost and Found offices of the arrival airport.
- Complete a specialized form known as a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) to document the non-delivery.

If, within 21 days of submitting the PIR, the passenger receives no information regarding the discovery of their baggage, it is deemed lost. However, if the baggage is found within this timeframe, it is considered a delayed return.
